I love this app for sleeping on the bus during my commute and helping me get calm when Im having trouble sleeping at night. My one tweak would be to stop making the default setting include thunder. The default should be just plain rain and if you want thunder you can turn it on. I personally find thunder startling and always get at least one rumble before I can turn it off. But otherwise wonderful!
I see a lot of people claiming this app is perfect. Im just going to assume these people are remarkably easy to amuse. Its very good, but it lacks some touches that would improve things. For example, the ability to save settings, see you dont have to adjust the volume and rain rate, and thunder and such every time you start the app.
I use it most nights to help sleep and feel safe. Its Very helpful for sleeping.
This is the BEST rain app! Ive tried many different ones and always come back to this one! We sleep with it every night and my hubby sleeps with it during the day as hes a trauma nurse and works nights. It has to be able to drown out the other household noises and this one is the loudest on high and perfect to trick your brain into thinking you are being lulled by a nice steady thunderstorm!! Love it!!♥️♥️♥️
Nice app but the timer is done with dark color in dark background , so its hard to see the numbers

The rain sounds are seamlessly woven together so there are none of the drawbacks of a typical recording. Getting to tweak the exact character of the rain is awesome too. This is my favorite ambient noise generator. I wish I could run the Simply Rain and Simply Noise apps simultaneously like on my laptop though--my favorite is having a steady low brown noise and a prominent oscillating rain with light thunder. Oh well, this still puts me to sleep like a baby.
Some bad moments
I purchased this after verifying on the page for the app I could select Color Noise according to images shown. This is not true and requires a different app purchase - the app landing page and the retailers website shows information that is incorrect.
There is a review by lololivia1865 that mentions this in dec 2015. There has been ample time to correct the issue.
This needs to be dealt with - I love the website, but Im incredibly irritated and debating whether or not Ill even continue to use the service!

Its super simple and does what it says, but Im a bit annoyed that something so simple could be so crashy. Frequently closes/restarts when pausing/resuming from the microphone button and re-opening the app. For me, anyway...
The developer needs to address some of the bugs in this app. Its always crashing, especially after pausing and resuming it. It also frequently has the volume set to 0 even though this was never set by the user. Its a good app, but the bugs make it annoying to use.
I have concentration issues and find that this app is the best while at work. I will listen on a Bluetooth speaker all day long every day. Also, their other app works wonders for nighttime sleep.
